Splinting is a process where the teeth are joined together to increase their strength. If one or more teeth become loose they can be joined to the surrounding stable teeth. Splinting of the teeth enables to move the part of the load in occlusion (distribution of chewing forces) from a mobile tooth to a healthy tooth.
